Trotz der kalten Wintertage habe ich einen bezaubernden Sonnenuntergang erlebt, der vor allem durch wunderschöne warme Farben beeindruckte. Hier einige Bilder von dem Naturschauspiel.

While staying at home for a couple of days, I witnessed this beautiful sunset which showed some unexpectedly warm colours on a cold winter day. I took some pictures of this glowing fire ball disappearing behind the woods. It's lovely to spend some days back in my hometown with my family and all those familiar places and objects.

The New Year is already ten days old and no one on this blog wished you all the best for 2011.

Shame on us. But we were busy partying and meeting old friends while spending Christmas at home.

Hej! Sweden it's me again

Due to the European Championships in TeamGym I spent the last week in Sweden. To be a little more precise in Malmö! As always this beautiful country up in the north didn't disappointed me in any way. Nice people, beautiful landscape and a great organisation of the whole event. Unfortunately I spent nearly my entire time at the gym hall and wasn't able to see much of the city. But the impressive performances of the other teams, especially the ones from scandinavia, worth every minute I sat on those very uncomfortable chairs in this hot building. Here some impressions of my beloved Sweden.

Mission London completed

Austria has me (and my suitcase) back. What a relief! Unfortunately the London trip was a very short pleasure, filled with lots of program and reminded me of going there again for a little longer. Here are a few pictures I took while we did some sightseeing on Sunday morning.

Road to Oslo part 4

Just a few pictures of The Vigeland Sculpture Park. It was a bit overcrowded there, but according to a few Oslo based people the weather hadn't been that nice since weeks. So it was quite understandable.

Noch einige wenige Bilder aus dem Vigeland Park. Es war aufgrund des schönen Wetters (angeblich einer der schönsten Tage seit Wochen) ziemlich überfüllt! War aber bei der riesigen Anlage nicht wirklich schlimm.

Nervous Nellie

Nach dem ich vor eineinhalb Jahren das Album ego & the id von Nervous Nellie rauf und runter gehört hatte, bot sich dank meines Umzuges nach Wien, endlich einmal die Gelegenheit, die Band live zu erleben.

Da es für eine schwedische Band eigentlich fast unmöglich ist, mich zu enttäuschen waren wir trotz Stehparty Atmosphäre von dem Konzert hellauf begeistert und die beiden Brüderpaare, Johnson an den Gitarren, Vocals und am Klavier und Johansson am Bass und an den Drums zeigten eindeutig wieder was man in Schweden unter Rock ’n’ Roll versteht.

Das was die Schweden in den 90 Minuten zeigten, war keine Neuerfindung des Indie-rock ebenso wenig entstand eine neue Musikrichtung (wobei jede zweite Band schon von sich behauptet ein eigenes Genre kreiert zu haben) aber die markante Stimme von Hendrik Johnson macht das zuhören zu einem tollen Erlebnis und das neue Album „When dawn is called mourning“ zu einer echten Kaufoption.
